Choose from over 25 different types of painting and mixed media workshops.  All the tutors are experienced professionals and enjoy sharing their skills and knowledge.. With one to one tuition and demonstrations, these day workshops and longer breaks are suitable for all abilities from beginners through to those with experience. Delightful Needlefelt Animals with Jenny Barnett

Following our hugely popular workshop last year, Jenny returns with two days of needle felting, this time making a gorgeous felt fox on the first day and a felt badger on the second, along with an acorn or toadstool if time allows. This fabulous two-day workshop includes all materials.  Attend one or two days to suit.  Suitable for all abilities.

All the Colours of Summer - Textile workshop

Working with the colour of summer we will capture all the delights of flowers, plants and nature painting onto fabric before adding details with stitch, beads, threads and motifs to create a colourful bright textile panel that can be framed, made into a bag or a cushion.  An uplifting and rewarding workshop.  All the materials are provided for this workshop which is suitable for all abilities.

Mastering the Use of Colour in Watercolour

Keeping watercolour fresh, vibrant and exciting is a challenge – we are all familiar with ‘mud’ and similar problems. This workshop will help you avoid such difficulties and enable you to produce wonderfully colourful fresh paintings.

Upcycling & Interior Design - Lampshade workshop

Join experienced interior designer, Lucy Renshaw and turn an old lampshade into a uniquely designed shade to take home with decorating materials provided.  Interior design ideas will be covered to help inspire and introducing further upcycling projects.  A creative and rewarding workshop suitable for all abilities.

Summer Painting in Constable Country

Summer at Dedham Hall is a perfect time to enjoy a painting holiday, using the grounds of the lovely hall and visiting places where Constable gained inspiration for his paintings.  Experienced NEAC artist, Paul will guide you through the painting days helping you to achieve interesting and rewarding art work.  Suitable for all abilities.

The Sparkling Waters Edge in Acrylics

The Sparkling Waters Edge in Acrylics - Capture all the colours of summer at the waters sparkling edge in acrylics. Paint a flowing river scene edged with summer foliage. You will achieve a painting in a day with step  by step tuition and with photographic reference supplied by professional artist and tutor, Steve McLoughlin.  Suitable for all abilities and welcoming beginners.

Second Stage Printing

This is an ideal workshop for those who have had a go at lino printing before and wish to extend their skills further.  Try two and three colour lino printing along with different techniques and printing processes with experienced artist, maker and tutor, Liz Wellby.

Liz will provide specialist materials but please bring the following:
