Louise Mary Muttitt

Having grown up in rural Herefordshire, Louise Mary learned from her mother to enjoy creative projects. Her earliest creations were sewn, but by the time she was at high school she was taking evening classes in silver jewellery design and creation. Even before she went to art college, she had created her first silver jewellery collection!
Following an art foundation course at Hereford College of Arts, she graduated Ba(hons) in Metalwork and Jewellery from Sheffield Hallam University in 2005, which included a term spent at Kookmin University in South Korea. After her degree she spent a year at the renowned Bishopsland Workshops in Oxfordshire before establishing her own jewellery studio.
For over a decade she’s been creating beautiful silver jewelry, which she now produces from her studio in South Derbyshire, with the ‘help’ of her little daughter who already seems fascinated by silversmithing tools!
