We hope you will join us in 2017 for one of our many painting workshops either for a day course or on a relaxing and enjoyable painting break. Choose from over 25 different types of painting and mixed media workshops.  All the tutors are experienced professionals and enjoy sharing their skills and knowledge.. With one to one tuition and demonstrations, these day workshops and longer breaks are suitable for all abilities from beginners through to those with experience. Exciting Use of Colour using Acrylics

A day planned to help each artist make choices about colour with renewed confidence!  There will be some teaching, some exercises and the opportunity for each person to produce a fabulous new piece of work!  Tutor:  Maggie Robinson

Bangles & Rings - Silver Jewllery making workshop

During this jewellery making workshop, expert jewellery maker, Louise will teach you a range of jewellery making techniques, from soldering to cutting, shaping and texturing silver and help you design and make a unique piece of silver jewellery, a ring or a bangle. All materials included (ring £79, slim bangle £89 wider bangle £99).  Tutor:  Louise Mary Muttitt

Stained Glass Panels

Try your hand at this traditional craft with all materials and tools provided. No experience required. You will create your own stained-glass panel, approx. 200mm square using the traditional method of combining coloured glass with lead, suitable to either build into a window or frame as a hanging panel. Creating Still Life with Colour! - Acrylics & Pastel

Giles will teach you how to get started with this exciting medium of paper collage. Suitable for all levels of ability – all you need is the desire to have a go! Discover how to use this rich medium tackling a simple still-life; then start work on a landscape of your choice.

Exploring Composition - Still Life in Boxes!

If you struggle with composition, this workshop could be for you.
Using an enclosed still life setup to develop new approaches to composition. Contrasting manmade and natural forms whilst working with mixed media techniques.  A structured workshop making reference to the work of specific artists. A rewarding and informative workshop with experienced artist and tutor. All materials provided and suitable for all abilities.

Light across a Flower Meadow in Acrylics

Capture dancing light across a meadow full of early summer flowers in acrylics with step by step guidance from professional artist Steve along with photographic reference to complete a picture at the end of the day.  Suitable for all abilities.
Steve returns again this year to deliver three acrylic painting workshops.  He is an apporachable friendly artist who explains clearly his step by step approach along with which paints and colours are best to use to achieve good results.

An Introduction to Printing

This is the perfect taster for beginners to lino printing (one colour) and will introduce you to lino cutting and printing along with collage – an addictive process which you can continue at your kitchen table at home. All the materials are provided for the informative and rewarding workshop.

What to bring
Liz will provide specialist materials but please bring the following:
-     an apron
