Botanical Illustration

Welcome to our 2010 programme of botanical illustration workshops. Offering you high quality, friendly and helpful tuition in a friendly, structured and relaxing environment. All our workshops are suitable for those new to this fascinating subject through to those with some experience. We are delighted to announce that Anna Knights, contemporary botanical artist and RHS Gold Medallist is to tutor two new workshops in 2010. Anna is entirely self-taught and her work is held in the Shirley Sherwood Collection and the RHS’s Lindley Library collection. Early booking for all workshops is recommended. Flowering Bulbs in Coloured Pencil, Watercolour or Graphite

Drawing and Painting Woodland Plants and Flowers

Many of our native wild plants flower in woodland, as the tree foliage opens above. this workshop offers a chance to build a composition of woodland subjects using coloured pencil or paint. Spirals in Nature - Pencil (Graphite)

Drawing and Painting Spring Blossoms using Coloured Pencil or Watercolour

This three day workshop will give participants a chance to explore a combination of media to produce detailed studies of seasonal flowers such as gladiolot, spike, sunflowers and potted orchids.
