Winter Woods in Coloured Pencil, Watercolour or Graphite

Join experienced professional artist, Sue Vize recognising the diffierent species of trees in winter, illustrating bark and twigs and fascinating lichens; using the surrounding grounds for inspiration.  Sue will provide one to one tuition and demonstrate different techniques during this informative workshop.  Suitable for all abilities.

Wildlife Art in Mixed Media

An inspiring and rewarding workshop with experienced professional artist Victoria Parsons, an established Wildlife Artist / Teacher with over 35 years experience who has featured on TV as well as holding exhibitions both in the UK, Europe and the United States.  You will be working in a range of pencils learning techniques for accurately constructing a variety of animals, exploring ways of portraying life like fur effects using mixed media and and choosing backgounrds to compliment the subject matter.

Spring Buds, Winter Twigs & Daffodils in Watercolour/Coloured Pencil

Using the plants available in the garden at this time of year we will work to develop compositions or sketchbook pieces that are evocative of the start of the growing season.  Focussing on painting yellows and accurate depiction of flower structure, we will work on creating compositions that include winter twigs and spring buds.

Botanical/Natural History Painting in Watercolour and/or Gouache

A chance to work from life.  This course will be a mix of botanical and natural history painting using shells, insects, dried plants seed heads or a subject of your choosing, whilst learning precise painting techniques.  Professional artist and tutor, Simon Williams enthusiastic approach will help you discover the skills to produce rewarding pieces of artwork to take away.
